Welcome to Dave McCormick's Moth and Butterfly World. Here is information on the Superfamily, Alucitoidea and its subfamilies. Go Back to A-Z Family index and Photos Information Aluctoidea is the superfamily of many-plumed moths. Most of the roughly 160 described species are in the family Alucitidae; the much smaller Tineodidae is sometimes merged therein, making the Alucitoidea monotypic.
